Discover Qatar's mangroves on this kayak tour of Al Thakira Reserve. You'll paddle around one of the country's most impressive natural settings.
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the airport, port, or your hotel in Doha. From here, we'll travel for about 1 hour to the Al Thakira Reserve. Ready to see some mangroves on this kayak tour? You'll love it!
Once we've arrived at this natural spot, we'll have a brief introduction to the area's fauna and flora. We'll also provide basic instructions about how to paddle, as well as some safety advice on how best to navigate through this mangrove ecosystem. Let's get ready to start!
We'll hop onto the kayaks and go on a 4-hour tour of Al Thakira. We'll paddle along the mangrove canals while we observe herons, flamingos, and other local birdlife that live in these surroundings. Additionally, we'll make various stops to take photos and enjoy the tranquillity of this natural landscape.
Halfway through the tour, we'll have a 30-minute pause at a small island within the mangroves. Here, you'll be able to rest, rehydrate, and have a bite to eat. Don't forget to bring a snack!
After this break, we'll return to our kayak route to continue exploring the canals and make the most of this last chance to spot some local fauna in an unbeatable landscape.
Once we're back on dry land, we'll return the kayak equipment before making our way back to Doha, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 6 hours.
